In the latest edition of this study, 3,000 social network users living in the United States, over the age of 12, took part. These respondents were asked if they usually read the emails they received from companies, and 2 out of 3 of them answered yes. What motivates users to read emails from companies? 70% of users stated that they open messages from brands hoping for an interesting offer or discount coupons.
The economic incentive works, users demand it and welcome it. All things considered, email marketing is one of the most effective ways to get a customer to repeat the purchase process. Half of users want to be kept up to date with company news, while 41% expect to be informed about news and trends in the sector. Customers want to know more about the latest products that have come onto the market. When they register, they do so on their own initiative, showing their interest in the brand and expecting the information it offers to be useful and interesting.
