Content Marketing and Social Media Strategy

Infographics
The name says it all: give your readers information and graphics. Use as little text as possible and let the images tell the story. If you don't have a graphic designer in-house, this is a good excuse to work with one.

Slideshows
Slideshows are a great format for breaking down complex ideas into simple steps gmx email list or bite-sized pieces. Keep them simple: minimal text in a single font and use large images and graphics.

Videos
The trick to effectively using video for business as part of a content strategy is to make it as timeless as possible. Otherwise, you risk wasting resources (time and money) updating your videos every year. Quality video content can also be used to expose your brand to YouTube’s large, active audience.

Success stories
Build a portfolio with real numbers and comprehensive stories. This will help keep your content focused on value and results, not brand.

Social media is one of the main vehicles for a content marketing campaign, especially for those that are more interactive or entertaining. There are three levels of social media promotion for your content:

Owned : Sharing your content on your brand’s own social media channels is a quick, customizable, and free opportunity to connect with your target audience.
Paid : Most social networks allow some form of paid advertising. Comparing a social network’s demographics to your brand’s target audience will help you determine where to invest.
Earned : This is the most valuable, but most difficult, social media promotion to create. It happens when your audience shares your content on their networks.
Each social network tends to attract a different type of user. Analyze their personalities and the demographics of each social network to find out where your audience is and start sharing your content. Let's look at the differences between social networks:

Facebook
Facebook remains the largest social network in the world, and while it is the fastest growing, that growth is slowing and changing, even more so after the latest privacy scandal. Facebook is most commonly used by middle-aged and older adults , although it is certainly one of the networks with the most diverse user base.

Twitter
Emerging markets account for 78% of Twitter traffic. Statistically speaking, Twitter users tend to be recent college graduates living in urban areas .

LinkedIn
LinkedIn is commonly known as the professional social network, and it's obvious that its users are serious. 64% of social referrals to corporate websites come from LinkedIn, compared to 17% from Facebook and 14% from Twitter. A look at demographics shows that LinkedIn has the highest percentage of high-income, college-educated users of all the major social networks.

Pinterest
Consumers love Pinterest. 47% of online shoppers have made a purchase based on a recommendation from Pinterest, which generates 4x more revenue (per click) than Twitter. Pinterest users tend to be well-off women living in rural areas.
