Healthcare.gov was part of a US government project to create the appearance of greater transparency in its health insurance.
When applying the Scrum methodology, they did not respect certain processes that must be mandatory for the success of the methodology and that we explain to you in how it works.
For example, the project was not launched phase by phase, which is essential in Scrum, since the environment is changing and planning is done week by week.
On the other hand, there was no testing of the small results of the deliverables each week in order to learn from mistakes and continue with the following week.
In addition, they hired more than 20 consultants and never saw a strong leader figure from whom others had real guidance.
There was also a complete lack of coordination between the teams to deliver their assignments on time, and remember that the teams should self-manage to have the best results when applying technology.
Finally, the final test was done in too short a period of time, and this final phase is the most important and the one that needs to be most detailed.
What do you do every day of Sprint?
Each Sprint is an iteration that is carried out day by day for the success of the Scrum methodology.
For example, the first day should be divided into two parts:
Selecting requirements: The client must define their requirements: this meeting forex email list should last a maximum of four hours.
Planning each iteration: also lasting no more than four hours, the team must define a list of assignments for each iteration and thus respond to the requirements established by the client in the first meeting.
For each day, a Sprint Meeting must be held, which should not last more than fifteen minutes, so that all members of the work team can monitor that the requirements are being met.
For this daily meeting the following questions must be answered:
What are the next steps to follow?
What are the impediments that exist or could exist?
The positive thing about the Sprint is that the Scrum Master will be in charge of removing the impediments that the team cannot solve on its own in order to protect the team from external things that may disturb the team's commitment to productivity.
On the other hand, for the last day of the Sprint it is necessary to carry out the following:
Demonstration: lasting no more than four hours, the team must present each resolved requirement, that is, the improved product with minimal effort so that the client can evaluate each iteration.
Retrospective: It cannot last more than four hours, but the team must present all the impediments to the Scrum Master so that he can eliminate them as soon as possible.
What have you done since the last Sprint Meeting?
