Go to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > End-to-End Encrypted Backup.
Create a password or 64-digit encryption key.
Once enabled, all your messages, images, videos, and documents are stored in encrypted form on Google Drive (Android) or iCloud (iPhone).
Without the correct key or password, the backup cannot be restored — even WhatsApp support can't help recover it.
