Starting February 1, 2019, the post office will no longer deliver packages containing lithium or lithium-ion batteries to most locations served. This type of battery is typically found in smartphones and notebooks.
According to the state-owned company, shipments containing batteries or cells, whether or not attached to the product, will no longer be permitted in the Sedex 10 , Sedex 12 , Sedex simple state and Sedex simple national modes .
